Wahsh Race is Kuwait’s flagship obstacle event, taking place on November 1, 2025 at Kuwait Motor Town. Event hours: 6:00 AM–5:00 PM; race: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. The course features 16+ obstacles—from rope climbs and inverted walls to carries and balance tests—built to challenge endurance, speed, and strength. Participation is by registration only for men and women aged 14+, with 700–1000 athletes and 1,000–3,000 spectators expected. Winners receive medals, cash prizes, and sponsor gifts, with total cash prizes exceeding KWD 10,000 and 50+ winners across categories, alongside broad media coverage.
This is an internationally recognized sport and will appear at LA28 within Modern Pentathlon’s new obstacle format. For Kuwaiti athletes, top finishers will be nominated for Kuwait National Team selection trials (subject to federation regulations). For international athletes, the race serves as a significant championship on the regional/international OCR calendar.
